I've named my warrior-girl Waalitja. Waalitj is Noongar for 'eagle'.

I wanted her not to be a white Caucasian - kind of 'international' I suppose - because she represents all the wild women, and the warrior deep within all women, who are being oppressed and destroyed by neo-Liberalism, consumerism and the alpha-males who are blindly dragging us all over the cliff of extinction.

The eagle is a special creature - it represents all that soars in human spirit. It is one of my spirit animals. It's cousin, the sea-eagle, often watches over me when I surf.
